Donald Bietz receives Marvin A. Pomerantz Award
Donald Beitz has been awarded the Marvin A. Pomerantz Award in recognition for his accomplishments in teaching and research. As part of the Pomerantz Award, Dr. Beitz will receive $3,500 to support his scholarly work.
BBMB Faculty and Staff Receive Awards
ISU faculty and staff recipients of the university’s most distinguished awards were honored on Monday, September 21 at a ceremony held in the Memorial Union Great Hall. The College of Liberal Arts & Sciences, as well as Inside Iowa State for Faculty and Staff, have the complete listing of the award winners.
LAS Signature Themes Workshop
Five “Signature Themes” define the scholarly vision of The College of Liberal Arts and Sciences at Iowa State University. For the fall semester, a faculty committee has planned a workshop on the “Biological Structures and Systems” theme, “Travel in Time and Scale: Literature, Earth’s Climate, Evolution, Molecules, and Molecular Animation”. The workshop will be held on October 19, 2015 from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. in the Reiman Ballroom at the Alumni Center. Faculty, staff and students are invited to participate.

NSF Awards Maximum Support to Iowa State-based Center for Biorenewable Chemicals
